I must admit that I love the soundtrack to Wicked thanks to my sister DeAnna. I listen to it as I take Talvyn to my parents house everyday. Little did I know that Talvyn was actually listening and making connections with the lyrics that we listen to everyday. Here is the story of how I figured it out.

Last night Talvyn looked at me and said, "I like you and I love you. Do you know why?" I said, "No." He then very seriously said, "because you are beautiful and do you know what that make you...popular." I thought that I would die with laughter. This child never ceases to amaze me with his comments and his mad vocabulary skills.

Tonight Trevor went on splits with the Elders and it made me think back to a time when my parents were just getting back into activity. A sign up sheet went around in elders quorum and my dad signed my mom up for splits...thinking they were for banana splits. She did get a phone call and was told that she couldn't go because she was a girl. I remember laughing so hard when she asked my dad why he had signed her up and he told her about the banana splits. I love that he was so willing to have his wife help out.

Danger Zone!

My son in crazy! Yesterday he was playing in my parents shop. It has giant automatic garage doors and my mom can open them from her house. My mom decided to open the doors because the boys were outside playing and Talvyn decided that he could stop them from opening by holding them down. My mom looked outside and there was Talvyn dangling from one of the doors as it raised. She said that he was anywhere from 3-5 ft. off of the ground when she realized what was going on. She switch the doors from open to close so that Talvyn could let go and when he did he fell onto his bottom. She then quickly switched them back to open so that Talvyn wouldn't hold on again. She has decided that the doors need to stay open whenever the grandkids are outside playing. It makes me sick to think of what could have happened if he had continued to hang on and my mom hadn't noticed what he was doing.

Bats in the Belly

Today Daxtyn was kicking pretty hard and I jumped. Trevor looked at Talvyn and said, "you used to do that in mommy's belly." Talvyn very seriously replied, "I know. It was scary; there are bats in there. When they cut the baby out (I have c-section) they hide."

These Apples are Delicious

Talvyn loves apples. I have to keep our house well suplied because he eats an apple a day and sometimes more. Here is a picture of him pretending to be a puppy eating his apple. Did I mention that he has an apple eating routine? He gets the apple out of the refrigerator, takes the sticker off, rubs the apple all over his shirt (polishing it), eats a ring around the apple, then begins the larger bites that take off the end, after each of those bites he slurps up the juice, and when he is finished (down to the core) he throws it away.

Snow Fun!

This winter has been crazy for us here in the banana belt of Idaho. We have had school cancelations and lots of snow. Here are some pictures of Talvyn getting his first real snow experience.

Can't Find a Better Man

Talvyn is such a good little helper. He loves to help get the clothes out of the laundry, he loves to put soap in the dishwasher and turn it on, he loves to vacuum, and he even loves to help clean the bathroom. A few weeks ago Talvyn and I went out to the car and he beat me into the garage. When I got out to the car he had my door open and he was waiting in his car seat for me to buckle him up. I asked him why he opened my door and he answered, "Daddy always does." I melted! I have the best husband in the world and it is Talvyn that helps me recognize this. Trevor helps out with everything and always treats me with respect. I truly believe that is why Talvyn is such a good helper.

Going to the Races

Talvyn went to a motocross event last weekend with his Grandpa Fuhrmann, Uncle Dale, and cousin Drew. He had so much fun, eating popcorn, waving his checkered flag (thanks Dale), and watching the stunt riders do their stuff. All day long he kept asking us if it was time to go. Our child was obsessed with the time all day. He knew that when the little hand hit the five then his night would start. I would catch him watching the clock and saying, "its getting closer."

Before and After

As many of you know, I am pregnant. I have gained a whopping 16 lbs. this pregnancy and hope that the final weight doesn't exceed 20 lbs. I really don't like being pregnant...all of the sickness, the bathroom breaks, the loss of balance, and the loss of memory. I know that it is all worth it, but I still like to complain. Here is a 22 weeks along picture and a picture with only 8 weeks to go. As of now, I only have 51 days to go.

Who do I look like?

Talvyn was at Grandma and Grandpa Fuhrmann's house last night while Trevor and I were at the temple.  While he was there he played in a dirt pile so Grandma gave him a nice soak in the tub.  After the bath she put him in an old t-shirt of hers and a pull-up.  He then walked up to Grandma with his hands raised in the air and said, "who do I look like?" She instantly thought that it was me since he has seen me in a lot of big clothes lately.  He said nope.  She couldn't think of anything, but he finally told her his answer....JESUS.  He thought that he looked like Jesus because his sleeves hung down and his shirt was really long.

Also notice his black mark under his left eye.  That was a little accident while playing at Grandma's house with Drew.
